Cheng Qiu is a Director with Alvarez & Marsal Tax Germany in Frankfurt. She brings over 12 years in the field.
Cheng brings deep transfer pricing expertise spanning TP documentation, planning and restructuring (particularly in value chain redesign and business transformation), TP due diligence, post-deal integration, Advance Pricing Agreements, and tax audit defense.
Cheng has worked with clients across diverse industries, in particular electric vehicles, digital business, logistics, life science, chemical, automotive, electronics and consumer goods.
Blow are some selected projects she has worked on in recent years:
- Comprehensive TP planning projects using Profit Split Models in the context of business restructurings in the pharma and consumer product industries in the context of post-merger integration.
- Multiple APA projects involving Germany, Korea, Japan, Belgium und the US for distribution and co-entrepreneur business models in the automotive industry.
- Restructuring of intragroup services charges for several automative suppliers in Germany.
- Managing a court proceeding for a TP dispute in Germany.
- Collaborating with top management to design the whole value chain and business model of the group worldwide from a tax perspective, together with the audit team and financial analyst to support client’s IPO in China.
Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Cheng operated a consulting boutique providing TP services to German headquartered multinational groups. Before that, she worked at Ernst & Young for four years (thereof two years in Shanghai)., Deloitte and KPMG in Germany.
Cheng is a Chartered Tax Advisor in Germany and earned a master’s degree in accounting, auditing and taxation from the University of Siegen.
