Dr. Marco Niehaus

Marco is Acquinex’s General Counsel and Head of DACH. He is one of the most influential market experts on M&A, Private Equity and Transactional Risks (GC Powerlist 2025) and has around 20 years of mid and large cap transaction experience. Prior to joining Acquinex Marco was an equity partner at Norton Rose Fulbright LLP. Marco received various recognitions for his practice including Best Lawyers, JUVE, Legal 500, Handelsblatt and Wirtschaftswoche. He is in charge of the laws of the supervisory board in “Gessler’s Guide to the German Stock Corporation Act”. Marco is a fully qualified German lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) and holds Master degrees in business law from the University of Cambridge (LL.M.) and Goethe University Frankfurt am Main (LL.M. Eur.) where he also earned a Ph.D. (Dr) in law.
